Eagle Nest Eco Lodge er bygd ut fra prinsipper om off grid energiproduksjon og minimert strømforbruk.
Isolasjonen i lodgen består av trefiber og trelags energivinduer som gir svært lavt energiforbruk til oppvarming – godt hjulpet av sola som ofte skinner over Gudbrandsdalen.
Alt vann kommer fra egen brønn boret i grunnen, og kloakk filtreres på stedet.
Solcelleanlegg og stor batteribank er det som drifter mye av lodgen sammen med et aggregat som går kun ca. 2 timer per dag for maksimal oppladning av batterier.
